Grown Ups 2, currently in pre-production, brings Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James and David Spade, along with actess Salma Hayek, back reprising their roles from 2010 Grown Ups. Also set to join the cast are Maya Rudolph (Up All Night, Saturday Night Live) and Oliver Cooper (Project X).

The film, set for release in 2013, is being produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions and Sony Pictures. Also returning are director Dennis Dugan and screenplay writer Fred Wolf.

The original production kept local actors busy for weeks during the summer of 2009, offering hundreds of background roles needing to be filled. Grown Ups 2 looks to offer the local acting community the same opportunity. Filming, in Marblehead, begins in May. And Sandra Alessi Casting is putting out the call!

The Los Angeles based company is holding two casting calls, Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13, between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, at Carson Place, located at the Boston Teacher’s Union Hall, 180 Mt. Vernon St., Dorchester, MA 02125 (near the Bayside Expo Center).

Anyone interested in attending is asked to bring a pen and a current 4×6 color snapshot – not a professional photo and no head shots. The company will not be taking photographs that day and stresses those coming bring a photo. No experience is necessary and all ages, shapes and sizes are encouraged to come by.
