Alright, listen up Hollywood East! Love Guide! Parker Posey is back in Boston after she hatched an excellence award in acting at the Provincetown International Film Fest this past weekend. The indie chick will now lay her egg at a screening of her new movie, The Love Guide. Let’s beak it out!
The flick that shot at the Weir River Farm in Hingham follows a chicken farmer who agrees to be on a reality show to save the
family farm. Posey co-stars as Angelica Lovecraft, the host of the reality show called “Cut the Crap” that documents local actress Christy Scott Cashman who not only wrote the indie but stars as Millie Bartlett. A chicken farmer who will cook up anything to save her farm. “The experience changes both women as they discover the true meaning of success,” Cashman said.
Christy and her husband Jay Cashman will host the Boston Premiere of, The Love Guide, this Tuesday June 19th to benefit Friends of Boston’s Homeless and The Farm at Boston’s Long Island Shelter.
This special eve will include cocktails at the Revere Hotel located in the Theater District, and a viewing of the film starring Parker Posey, who will mosey along as well. Dinner and a shindig after the screening at the home of the Cashman’s featuring special live music by James Montgomery and Ronan Tynan. Limited tickets are available for $150 per person.
