Connecticut native Peter Paige has been making large strides in his acting career, landing guest starring roles in major television series as well as addressing tough issues such hate crimes and California’s new Prop 8.

Paige was born on June 20, 1969 in West Hartford, Connecticut and graduated summa cum laude from the School of Theatre at Boston University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In the summer of 2004, Paige made his directorial debut with the film Say Uncle, which he also starred in alongside Kathy Najimy, Anthony Clark, Melanie Lynskey, Lisa Edelstein, and Gabrielle Union. Paige has also starred in the films Childstar, directed by Don McKellar, alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh and Dave Foley, as well as Our America on Showtime, the independent film Pop, and the award-winning shorts The Four of Us and The Shooting.
Paige is best known for his role as Emmett Honeycutt on the hit series Queer as Folk, a show that focused on the lives of five gay men in Pennsylvania, on Showtime. Currently living in Los Angeles, Paige has guest starred in other series such as Will & Grace, Time of Your Life, Girlfriends, Caroline in the City, American Dad, Related, Suddenly Susan, Grey’s Anatomy, and Without a Trace. His most recent television role was in the TNT series Raising the Bar, where he helped address the difficult issue of hate crimes.
Paige has also appeared in major region theatres throughout the country such as La Jolla Playhouse, Portland Center Stage and Playwrights Horizons. Some of the productions he is most noted for are A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Rivals, Secret Agents, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Pantophobia, a two-man show writing and performed with Abraham Higginbotham.
Already possessing an arsenal of impressive film, theatre, and television performances, Paige shows no sign of slowing down. Keep and eye out for this Connecticut native in your favorite series or even in a future television show of his own (again).
