“The Bad Boys from Boston”, Aerosmith have been a busy bunch as of late, with a variety of announcements, appearances, and other projects that have been keeping the rock and rollers in the spotlight.
Just last month, the Mighty O, Oprah Winfrey visited Sunapee, New Hampshire, to take a tour of Steven Tyler’s private, part-time residence. While in the area, Tyler also brought her to his childhood home in Marshfield, Massachusetts for a brief look-around. Tyler has had a particularly jam-packed schedule of late, including hosting duties on “American Idol”, and the release of his first memoir, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?, which was published earlier this year.
Also last month, lead guitarist Joe Perry celebrated his 61st birthday in a private party in the area. In an exclusive to Hollywood East Connection, an insider tells us the Boston-based New England Conservatory was contacted by an unknown staffer, in search of a singer to play a birthday party at the private residence of an unnamed Aerosmith member. Perry currently resides in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and was born in Lawrence and raised in Hopedale.
The band also announced in June that they would be entering the recording studio to produce their next album in July. Shortly thereafter, at the end of August, it was announced that this new album will come out around May 2012.
