Former Massachusetts pageant queen Katie Boyd is now taking center stage in “Wicked Fit,” a Style reality show following the ups and downs at her Wellesley fitness center, The Miss Fit Club. Boyd’s client list reads as a who’s who in New England pageantry and the registered personal trainer and nutritionist promises to keep them swimsuit-ready and crown-worthy.
Boyd, rougher around the edges than your average beauty queen, opens the season celebrating the one year anniversary of the Miss Fit Club with a VIP event at the financial district’s Umbria Prime. Attendees at the event include Farrah Lester, wife of Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester and Boyd’s employees former Miss Massachusetts Teen Monique Jones and former Miss Connecticut Monica Pietrzak.
“Wicked Fit” is not just for crown-hungry pageant queens. In the first episode Boyd adds some testosterone to the mix and welcomes the club’s newest employee, her personal assistant Markus Ricci. A former fitness model and certified personal trainer, Ricci is certainly comfortable around a gym, but time will tell if he can handle Boyd’s foul mouth and high maintenance clientele.
“Wicked Fit” airs on the Style Channel at 9 pm, Sunday nights.
