There’s just something about “Peter and Bobby Farrelly’ that you just can’t get enough of. Deadline has picked up that the Rhode Island boys are trying to hitch a ride on Showtime, a television project of an “Unhitched” crew of writers Chris Pappas, Mike Bernier and Kevin Barnett. Sure these five guys didn’t succeed on their first shot on cable television back in 2008 but they never unhitched and it’s onto paid television. X-rated might just pave the way.

If Showtime opens the door, viewers will be in the backseat checking into a racy comedy involving a cheating wife and a husband that got some serious whip lash. The infidelity really knocks the husband up and drives him into a mid life crisis. Hopefully the series will flash some New England cameos like most of the Rhody boys flicks.

The busy Farrelly Brothers just wrapped up shooting the The Three Stooges, a dream project that certainly got its laughs but a decade later its finished and will be released next Spring. They’re not only trying to sign a deal with Showtime but trying to get Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to sign a deal too.

That’s right! Hollywood’s dumbest friends Lylod and Harry might be riding the ‘shaggin wagon’ one more time.  A project that the boys have wanted to do for some time. And just when we thought the Farrelly Brothers couldn’t possibly be any ‘smarter’, they go and do something like this…to redeem themselves! “I like it a lot”.
