John Trudell Visits UNH for Documentary Film Screening

Native American poet/activist/actor/recording artist John Trudell will visit the University of New Hampshire on Friday, November 20 to host a screening of Trudell, the highly-acclaimed documentary film by producer Heather Rae. The movie showcases the life story of Trudell, emphasizing a message of active, personal responsibility to the earth and its inhabitants. Trudell represents a decade of chronicles of the activist’s spoken word performances and political appearances alongside interviews with friends, family, and allies from the “movement days.”

Trudell is hardly Trudell’s first silver screen appearance; he has also had roles in such films as Thunderheart, DreamKeeper, On Deadly Ground, and Smoke Signals.

The screening of Trudell is scheduled to begin at 7pm in the Strafford Room of the Memorial Union Building at 83 Main Street in Durham, NH. A discussions will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
