Need last-minute plans for Saturday? You’re in luck! Boston Casting is hosting an open call for extra work on an upcoming feature film set in the 70s. The call is being held at the Boston Casting Inc. office in Allston, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The title of the project or who it’s starring is not currently being given, but the film is apparently entirely set in the 70s. That being the case, it will be helpful if attendees could wear, or bring, 70s attire to the casting, such as bell bottoms, platform shoes, mini-skirts, go-go boots, etc. Bonus points if you can sport an afro, mustache, long hair, or sideburns. While this is all helpful, it should be noted that it is absolutely not required for you to attend. Those who come in regular clothes will still be considered for extra work on the film.
Those folks who also happen to be in possession of cars from the 1960s and 1970s should also attend the casting or get in touch with the agency, as these types of vehicles will be needed throughout the production, and their owns will be considered for extra work as their car is used as background. If this aspect is of interest to you, please make sure to bring a photos of your car with you.
All attendees are also asked to please bring a current photo of yourself that can be left with Boston Casting.
The call is being held this Saturday, February 16th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Boston Casting is located at 129 Braintree Street, Suite 107, in Allston.
If you are unable to attend the open call but would still like the chance to work on the film as a background actor, make sure to sign up at Boston Casting’s online database at www.BostonCasting.com.
