Homeboy actor, Ben Affleck, gears up for his second Boston directing debut of The Town, a movie based on Chuck Hogan’s novel The Prince of Theives. Affleck also co-wrote the screen play with Hogan and Peter Craig. The movie involves romance, comedy and thriller effects. The Town has an all star cast including the lovely Rebecca Hall (Bank Manager) best known for her Golden Globe in Vicky Christina Barcelona, the clean cut Joe Hamm (FBI Agent) who just finished up filming “Mad Men” also filmed in Boston, and the one man band director/writer/actor Ben Affleck who will be co-staring as the “criminal career minded” con man. Affleck is best known for his work in Good Will Hunting, his public romance with Jennifer Lopez, and directing Gone Baby Gone which put him on the map as a talented director. Affleck took some time off after his flops of Gigli and Daredevil but appears to have made full recovery acting, writing and directing all this year. Affleck is set to release Mike Judge’s comedy Extract and just finished shooting The Company Men.

Affleck has been seen around Bean-town sporting his Red Sox cap with his wife Jennifer Garner and their two little girls Violet and Seraphina. One thing we have to say, Affleck really has been bringing in revenue to his home town, Boston. Casting Calls have been posted for this upcoming film. They are looking to cast all ages and authentic Boston accents. If this interests you check out our Hollywood East Career Scene page where you will find more useful information on casting calls.
