LA based Casting Director Ann Maney will be in Beantown for a one day Cold Reading and Consultation this Monday, November 29th at the Media Performance Institute at Boston Casting. Ann Maney has been the VP, Casting at 20th Century Fox Television, a talent agent and development executive. She has worked with and hired most of the current casting directors on staff at major LA and NYC studios. Ann is currently the VP of Development at Management Squared. She scouts talent and writers. Actors are expected to read cold scripts at any kind of audition. This workshop will prepare actors for on-the-spot cold reading. Everyone will be given a television script to perform in front of Ann and the class. Direction and feedback will be given to students as they perform their scripts on-camera in a real audition setting.
Ann will also be giving tips of the casting process, how to navigate the networks and what it takes to get in front of the right people in the TV industry.
