Massachusetts resident Nic Baisley, the creator of FilmSnobbery.com, recently announced that FilmSnobbery will be hosting an independent film screening series.
FILMSNOBBERY LIVE! PRESENTS: A DAY AT THE PALACE will be held on the last Sunday of each month at The Palace Theatre in downtown Danbury, CT. Their inaugural event on January 30, 2011 will not only screen several films, it will also include a magic show by magician/film director Doron Kipper.
Jamin Winans’s Ink, a thriller about an eight year old caught between the forces of light and darkness and What’s Up Lovely, a film about an unemployed insomniac and the strange people she encounters at night ,will be shown at the first screening. Maurice Chauvet’s award winning short, Three-fifty, about a man who tries to weasel out of his late fees at the video store and Misdirection, a film about magic by magician Doron Kipper will also screen. Winans and Kipper will both take part in a Q&A at the event.
