North End patrons might think of delicious spaghetti and meatballs or even a tasty cannoli when it comes to the Italian-centric Boston neighborhood, but lately, walking around Hanover Street you just might catch sight of nuns with guns, high speed chases, loud gun fire, and homeboy actor/director Ben Affleck shooting scenes for his upcoming flick The Town.
Affleck and crew seem to have taken over Boston, filming in neighborhoods including the Fenway, North End, Charlestown, and Harvard Square, where just the other day Mrs. Affleck stopped by the set to visit her hubby.
On October 22, loud gunfire and other effects could be heard as The Town filmed scenes in the North End neighborhood. Hollywood production crews have been hanging up fliers telling residents about their shooting locations. We headed over to the intersection of Commercial Street and Foster Street and witnessed the scene. Check out the video below of Affleck and crew in action.
