Summer hasn’t even officially begun, and things are already getting busy in Hollywood East. Yet another comedic film, this time starring New Hampshire-raised Adam Sandler, will be filming in the Bay State during the month of June, and will be in need of extras.

Sande Alessi Casting will be holding open auditions for I Hate You Dad non-union, paid, background work starting this Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and 22nd. The calls will be taking place at Carson Place at The Boston Teacher’s Union Hall at 180 Mount Vernon Street in Dorchester, near the Bayside Expo Center’s north entrance.

The film, which also costars Leighton Meester, James Caan, Andy Samberg from “SNL”, Ian Ziering, and Vanilla Ice, is about a disagreeable father who moves in with his son right before he’s about to get married. The movie will be filming in and around the Boston area throughout June, with a release date expected for summer 2012.

Casting calls will also be held May 28th-29th, from 10AM to 4PM at the Barnstable High School at 744 West Main Street in Hyannis Port, MA.

All participants are asked to bring a current 3×5 color snapshot (NOT a headshot) of themselves, which does not need to be professional quality. The agency is seeking thousands of different types of people, including children age 11 or over and adults of all ages and ethnicities.

Saturday’s call will run from 12PM to 6PM and Sunday from 2PM to 8PM. Any questions should be directed to Sande Alessi Casting. Check out their website here.
