Los Angeles born, but New England bred Kate Bosworth stepped out at Sundance last month for the premiere of her latest film, Black Rock. The film, Bosworth’s second thriller in a row, centers on three childhood friends on getaway to a remote Maine island that quickly turns into a violent nightmare.
The film is penned and directed by co-star Katie Aselton, a native of Milbridge, Maine. Lake Bell, whose credits include TV drama “Boston Legal”, rounds out the all-female starring cast. Black Rock premiered as part of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

She was most recently seen in the remake of 1970′s thriller Straw Dogs, alongside Alexander Skarsgard and James Marsden. Her upcoming projects include a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac novel Big Sur, directed by her boyfriend Michael Polish and the star-studded comedy, Movie 43.
