The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England Chapter is currently accepting submissions for the National Student Awards for Excellence Competition! High school students from across the New England area are invited to participate in the contest, which promotes superior quality journalism and highlights outstanding talent involved in youth television production. Student winners receive a certificate with the Emmy® emblem and the winning school receives the renowned statue.
The Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was established in 1977. The Regional Student Television Awards for Excellence, now in its 10th consecutive year, focuses public attention on outstanding achievements in television produced by high school students.
Projects eligible for awards should have been completed between March 1, 2010 and February 18, 2011. Entries can be from one of two categories, either News or Arts and Entertainment or Cultural Affairs. The deadline for submission is rapidly approaching on February 18, 2011.
