The Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIFF) is buzzing for filmmakers of all levels to compete in the RI 7 Day PSA. The competition is a win-win for all. It’s an act for non-union filmmakers to connect with non-profit organizations and together raise awareness at a national level by producing creative 20, 30 and 60 second public service announcements (PSA) for the organization your team is paired up with.

The seven day event challenges each team to write, shoot and edit each PSA for the seven day deadline. Makers will also have the opportunity to take in a class or two during the heat of the games as a teaching tool. This feel good battle is to match up these struggling non-profits with innovative energy like yours and get their messages to spark at a national level.

Winning PSA’s will be eligible, after broadcast, for submission by the 7DAYPSA for nomination for regional Emmy Awards, Telly Awards, Hatch Awards and other industry awards.

Find your team of hip non-union actors, inspired writers and filmmakers who want to compete for national exposure.  There is a small fee of $120 and there is no maximum headcount.  Don’t wait to get those teams together and submit by March 4th.  The contest starts on March 30th. Check out the Seven Day PSA dot com for the rules and regulations. Don’t forget to ‘like’ Seven Day PSA on the hottest Social Network out there — FB.  Good luck!
