On Saturday, June 19 at the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Revere, the “Price is Right” will be kicking off their nationwide contestant search. The 38-year-long-running daytime game show is searching for new contestants from around the country as part of a 5 city tour, starting in the Boston area.
All attendees will be given 30 seconds to show off their enthusiasm and personality by answering a question like “Why would you make a good “Price is Right” contestant?” Their answer will be taped and sent to producers at the show, who will then pick 2 contestants from each city, including Cleveland, Detroit, San Francisco, and Denver. Those contestants will then fly to LA, where they will attend a fall taping of the show. One of the two contestants will be guaranteed to go on to hear their name called to “come on down” and take their place on “Contestants’ Row”, putting them one correct bid away from meeting host Drew Carey as they play for fabulous prizes and a chance to win the showcase.
BJ’s Wholesale Club is located at 5 Ward Street in Revere. Auditions will run from 11AM to 3PM, with the line starting to form at 10AM, in a large tent in the BJs parking lot. Contestants must be 18 years or older. Go here to download and fill out a contestant application.
