Crews for The Zookeeper, starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson, were spotted setting up on Boston Common on Tuesday, September 15. An encampment of trailers, make-up tents, food tents, and storage areas were positioned near the stone gazebo where the annual Shakespeare in the Park is held, and scenes have been shot both around Boston Common and the Public Garden.

On Tuesday, around 6:00 PM, crews set-up for filming near the Frog Pond, with signs scattered throughout the park to direct extras where to go. The scene was to include Kevin James and “Fear Factor’s” Joe Rogan, as they bicycle through the park.

Crowds quickly gathered on the Common as crews set up the various equipment and lights needed for filming. After work dog walkers and well-to-do Beacon Hill couples, still dressed in their professional attire, all gathered around the area to gawk at what is now becoming more of a familiar scene in Boston. While a small smattering of police were on hand to maintain crowd control, nothing more than some firm shouts from the production assistants to “Stay out of the frame” were enough to keep onlookers from getting to close to the otherwise open set.
