What happens when two former NBC funnymen team up for a one-man theater show? You get the hilarity that is Long Story Short, starring Colin Quinn and directed by Jerry Seinfeld!

Currently playing at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, Connecticut after a successful run on Broadway, this “history of the world in 75 minutes.”

As the star, Quinn presents his own versions of famous and infamous personalities from the past with his distinctive dead-pan perspective. This satirical journey through history covers everyone from the ancient Greeks to modern reality show stars, and everything in between.

Colin Quinn was part of the cast of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC for 5 years. During that time, he hosted the weekly “Weekend Update” news spot. Quinn has also been in the Boston area recently, filming scenes for Adam Sandler’s newest movie, I Hate You Dad.

Jerry Seinfeld is, of course, most well known for starring in the wildly successful NBC sitcom bearing his last name. The show ran for 9 years.

The Long Wharf Theatre opened in 1965 and has housed more than 30 productions that eventually went to play on Broadway or Off-Broadway. Colin Quinn: Long Story Short kicked off at the theatre on August 9th and will play until August 20.
