April 28–If you missed “Bride Wars” at the theaters, pick up a copy of the newly released on DVD Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson flick and see how good you are at spotting the hip Boston hotspots used as make-shift New York City filming locations. Venues include the South End’s Pho Republique, The Estate nightclub in The Alley, the Langham Hotel, and the Public Garden.
Filming originally took place in April and May of 2008, and even featured some all-star extras; Several Boston Red Sox significant others served as party guests in a bridal-shower scene including Jacoby Ellsbury’s girlfriend, Kelsey Hawkins; Jonathan Papelbon’s wife, Ashley; Dustin Pedroia’s wife, Kelli; and Tim Wakefield’s wife, Stacey. While in town, Kate Hudson was spotted frequenting eating at Beacon Hill’s notable neighborhood eatery, and celebrity favorite, The Paramount, as well as grabbing a slice with her son at Pizzeria Regina in the North End.
