TV Land’s newest original series premiered last week and features Hartford, Connecticut native, David Alan Basche. ”The Exes” airs Wednesday nights and centers on a trio of divorced men living across the hall from their divorce attorney. The show will follow the season premiere of TV Land’s hit series, “Hot in Cleveland.”
Basche was born in Hartford and started his career in the area’s community theaters. He was involved in several of the Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center’s productions and performed in many school plays. A graduate of Emerson College, Basche originally studied communications, but received a degree in performing arts. His first major role was in the 1999 Alan Ball sitcom “Oh Grow Up.” He has appeared in the major motion pictures War of the Worlds and United 93. In recent years he had guest roles on television series, “Lipstick Jungle,” “The Starter Wife” and “White Collar.”
“The Exes” features TV veterans and familiar faces Kristen Johnston and Donald Faison. Johnston has had guest roles on many popular television shows since her hit series “3rd Rock From The Sun” ended in 2001. She was most recently seen in the HBO comedy series “Bored To Death.” Donald Faison is best known for his role as Dr. Christopher Turk in all nine seasons of the medical comedy “Scrubs.”
TV Land ordered ten episodes for the series, which began airing Wednesday, November 30 at 10:30 PM.
