Where will you be on New Year's Eve?

Where will you be on New Year’s Eve?

Posted on 30 Dec 2011 at 6:00am

In less than 48 hours, Boston will pop with limos, reservations, couples and singles mingling around the clock. So as the countdown approaches where will you be when the ball drops?

First off, let’s raise a glass to twenty-eleven as we take in the EVE of twenty-twelve.    What a sparkle of a night with its black tie events, swanky dresses, champagne flowing  and midnight kisses. When the entertainment is endless, taps taped, tickets exclusive  and dance floors across the coast bumping.

It’s pretty hard not to get caught up in all the glamour of the EVE especially when we  live in the hot city of Boston but how do you pick the right one? Venues across the  state are trying to catch your eyes so we thought we’d tick-tock a few midnight ones  too.

Let’s tock at the Marriot Court Yard Synergy hosted bash, Timeless a bond evening. This event has sold out three years in a row. It’s chic an bright for the New Year. As sexy bond girls trollop the room the optional black tie James will tie you up. This year’s EVE will be hosted by Miss Massachusetts 2012. It’s a pretty posh party, young professionals only. Tickets are still available but selling out super fast. A portion of the event will benefit The Home for Little Wanderers.

Or how about taking a ride off the Seaport District and into the Atlantic? Three cruises will be setting sail the Odyssey, the Spirit of Boston and the Marika Yacht. All offer great deals for the night including dinner, drinks and rocking out in the high seas. The fancier the trip the pricier it is. We do know it will be the best place to be docked for first night’s fireworks. Tickets are also still available.

If you are planning on staying inland or even starting your EVE early Boston’s First Night Festival of the Arts, showcases the work of 1,000 artists in 200 performances and exhibits at 35 indoor and outdoor venues located throughout the downtown area. It’s the oldest event in Beantown. It starts at 1pm and ends at midnight with the works. It can be free or you can get a button that has perks to all the events. There is quite a lineup so check out the schedule for all the deets. No matter where you decide to bring in the New Year time is ticking.

Most likely you will take a cab, have a designated driver or are planing to stay at a hotel. But if you are driving and had more than you should, please call the Tipsy Tow offered by AAA, you don’t have to be a member. From 6pm-6am on New Year’s Eve/Day AAA is offering a FREE tow that will take your car and you home. That’s right! For FREE. Save this number 1-800-222-4357 and pass it along to your friends.

So let the countdown begin. TEN, champagne glasses are filled everywhere.  NINE, stand next to someone sexy.  EIGHT, all eyes are glued to the tube. SEVEN, you can’t believe you’ve spent all your NYE with Dick Clark who is celebrating his 40th year! SIX, you need more champagne. FIVE, you start to reflect on the year gone by, some may start to cry. FOUR, TWENTY-TWELVE seems futuristic. THREE, it gets a little blurry. TWO, one last lick of the twenty-eleven lips. ONE, you’re in the future, kissing a hot date.  Happy New Year! Embrace the New Year by being you.

If you still want more action take the infamous New Year’s Day plunge at 9 am at the L Street Bathhouse in Southie. Cameras will be rolling with the L-Street Brownies and the huge crowd that attends.  This event has been chilling since 1904.

Tell us on our FB where you will be checking into on NYE?
