The side-splitting SNL alumni Tracy Morgan is Boston bound. Morgan will be departing JFK, landing at Logan and shuttling to the hip Wilbur Theater for his February 26th, Beantown gig.
Morgan, who recently had a kidney transplant donated by his X-GF back in December, certainly hasn’t skipped a New York minute. Morgan was discovered doing stand-up at the Apollo twenty-seven years ago and he is still capturing audiences coast to coast with his stand-up acts, the hit show “30 Rock,” and of course continuing to scare us on “Scare Tactics.”
Morgan was first welcomed in our homes when he appeared on the hit comedy series “Martin”. He went on to join the cast of SNL in 1996 for seven seasons.
The theater will lite up on Saturday February 26th when Morgan hits up the district. Get your tickets today for the 7pm or 9:45pm show time. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Wilbur Theater dot com.

Summertime at the Wilbur Theater in Boston just got a lot hotter. Loads of comedians and actors will be hitting the stage and getting their funny on all summer long. The Comedians of Chelsea Lately are coming up soon on June 11th, featuring sharp tongues Whitney Cummings, Heather McDonald, Jen Kirkman, Jo Koy and Chelsea Handler’s own personal nugget: Chuy Bravo. The comedians are frequently part of the “Chelsea Lately” roundtable and offer their hilarious insight on the pop culture news of the day.
Aziz Ansari (7/12), who plays Tom on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” is also hot on the radar right now. He probably got a chuckle out of you as one of Paul Rudd’s fencing buddies from I Love You, Man or in his ubiquitous commercials as the host MTV Movie Awards. Mariah Carey’s hubby Nick Cannon will take the stage on 7/30. The funny guy is taking a break from hosting “America’s Got Talent” and going back to his performing roots from his days on “Wild ‘n Out” and (throwback to 90s Nickelodeon fans) “All That”.
Other noteworthy performances like Christopher Titus (“Titus” on FOX, 6/11), Craig Ferguson of “The Late, Late Show” and How to Train Your Dragon (7/2), and Shawn and Marlon Wayans (8/21) will be sure to give you your daily dose of funny. There’s something extra sparkly about the holidays in Boston this year, and it’s not because metallics are in this season. As what seems to be the norm these days, stars abound in Beantown, giving shows and making appearances at local events.
On Friday, December 11th, comedian Jim Breur will be bringing his unique sense of humor to the Wilbur Theatre. The four season former SNL-er, whose July 25th Comedy Central special received raves, is bringing it to Boston. Check out his show, “Let’s Clear the Air” at 7 and 9:45 PM at the Wilbur Theatre, tickets range from $25-$32.
Also on December 11th, fill your Christmas quota of lords a-leaping and ladies dancing by meeting Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”. The professional ballroom dancers from one of the alphabet network’s biggest hit shows will be giving a workshop and performance at a reception at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel to benefit prostate cancer research and education, sponsored by AdMeTech.
On Sunday, December 13, the National Geographic Channel’s “Dog Whisperer” Cesar Milan will be bringing his unique skills to the Agganis Arena at Boston University through a national tour intent on helping humans understand their canines better. When purchasing tickets, make sure to enter or mention the code SHELTER and a portion of the ticket sales will go to benefit homeless pets at the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA.
New Year’s Eve at the TD Garden will be full of laughs, as hilarious homeboy Dane Cook will be helping Bostonians count it down to the New Year. Tickets are still available for the show, which commences at 7PM, and are priced from $32.50 to $102.50.
