For many New England actors and other area talent, getting a career started in showbiz can be hard to embark on. New England itself is not an area of the country that most people would consider as having a potential for careers in entertainment. Since the advent of Hollywood East, many more resources have become available in terms of casting agencies, acting classes and coaches, and other important services for actors. A series of new ebooks, entitled Launching Outside Los Angeles, written by Jenny Yerrick Martin, has recently been launched with the intention of filling in the gaps for people aspiring to get started in entertainment, and don’t happen to live near Hollywood, CA.

Martin, who grew up in Maryland, graduated from Boston University with an undergraduate degree in Broadcasting and Film, so she herself has connections to the New England area. Martin began her website, yourindustryinsider.com, as an online resource for people looking for advice on the industry.
